Description

‘Identity, legacy and revenge, this thriller takes you on a wild ride with mind-blowing twists. I defy anyone to untangle its webs of deceit to figure out whodunnit before the end.’

Joan Sauers, author of Murder at Thornwood Park

When the parachutes fail to deploy during Annie’s first-ever tandem skydive, her instructor is killed in the heroic act of saving her. Hailed ‘Miracle Girl’, Annie’s death-defying fall becomes news around the world, setting off a chain of mysterious and deadly events, with origins going back twenty years.

After several weeks in hospital, Annie regains consciousness from a coma, but at first doesn’t recognise her parents and is uncertain of her own identity. To convalesce, Annie’s protective parents take her to their fortress-like home, deep in Australia’s Southern Highlands. Here, after stumbling across a secret stash of information that doesn’t add up, she also becomes convinced someone wishes her harm. These chilling clues point to finding answers in Europe. Unaware of her newfound celebrity, Annie escapes to London, the Highlands of Scotland and former Soviet bloc countries. Danger follows her as the truth unravels.

High Land has more twists and turns than a winding mountain road. Get ready for the ride.
