Maya Ward was born in and has lived most of her life in Yarra River country.
She is devoted to exploring this wonderful place, while working variously as an urban designer, permaculture and environmental educator, public art designer, musician, performer, festival director, poet and writer. She now divides her time between inner-city Brunswick and planting trees on her block by the Yarra in Warburton.
